It’s been over a decade since the Russo family graced the Disney Channel with their wizarding ways and wayward wands, but that’s all set to change with the arrival of a sequel.

Titled Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, the new series sees a crop of new faces starring alongside original cast members, including the return of Justin Russo to bring magic back to the forefront.
“The Russo’s are excited to become a part of your family, once again, but we’ve grown,” David Henrie shared to Instagram. “2024, the year magic comes back!”

What is Wizards Beyond Waverly Place about?
According to Disney’s official synopsis, the series “follows an adult Justin Russo, who has chosen to lead a normal, mortal life with his family, Giada, Roman, and Milo.
“When Justin’s sister Alex brings Billie to his home seeking help, Justin realises he must dust off his magical skills to mentor the wizard-in-training while also juggling his everyday responsibilities — and safeguarding the future of the Wizard World.”
Fans have already begun comparing Billie’s likeness to Alex, with Alex herself even referring to Billie as “rebellious and stubborn” in the trailer.

Who is cast in Wizards Beyond Waverly Place?
The series stars David Henrie as Justin Russo, Janice LeAnn Brown as Billie, Alkaio Thiele as Roman Russo, Max Matenko as Milo Russo, Taylor Cora as Winter and Mimi Gianopulos as Giada Russo.
Selena Gomez also returns to reprise her role as Alex Russo, guest-starring in the first episode.
“So excited!!” Selena shared to Instagram when the news of the sequel first broke in January. “WE’RE BACK.”
